Snack On Track! 8 Snacks Under 100 Calories!

If you’re anything like me, you’re a big-time snacker!

It’s something about crunching and munching while you’re watching your favorite show or grabbing something quick to hold you over until your next meal.

There’s nothing wrong with having a snack, BUT over doing it or snacking on the wrong things can get you off track with your weight loss goals.

No worries! Here is a list of 8 snacks that will keep your tummy satisfied without upsetting the scale.

1. Popcorn is Poppin’!

I had to begin this list with my all-time favorite, popcorn! Popcorn is a whole-grain food which makes it a healthy option.

However, popcorn can easily become unhealthy with added butter, salt, cheese, and other toppings. It’s also easy to over snack on popcorn.

To keep on track with popcorn, use an air popper. An air popper eliminates all of the calories you get from popcorn that is popped with oil.

Just 2 Tablespoons of popcorn kernels gets you 4.5 cups of delicious popcorn AND it's only 80 CALORIES!

If you’re on the go, you can microwave a 100-calorie popcorn bag or grab a bag of Skinny Pop for 150 calories.

2. Say Cheese!

“As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”

Is soooo easy to get carried away with cheese! It’s everywhere and tastes good on just about anything!

It’s no secret that too much cheese can cause issues with gaining unwanted weight.

When you eat the right portions, cheese can be a low-calorie snack that is satisfying and won’t keep you from meeting your weight loss goals.

One natural mozzarella or cheddar cheese stick is only 90 calories and 7 sharp cheddar cheese cubes is only 70 calories!

3. Peanut, Peanut Butter!

If you’re a peanut butter lover, you probably have spread peanut butter on crackers, PB&J, chocolate or dipped in your apple slices.

One quick way to GAIN weight is to eat too much peanut butter. But, you don’t have to toss out the jar just yet.

If you truly love peanut butter, try eating it on a spoon - by itself.

You will still get the satisfaction of that peanut buttery taste without the added calories that comes with other peanut butter snacks.

Peanut butter is high in fat so, a small portion can help keep your hunger at bay.

One tablespoon of regular peanut butter is only 90 calories while natural peanut butter (peanut butter that has little to no sugar added) is 95 calories.

4. Almond Joy!

I’m not talking about that Almond Joy, but raw almonds are a healthy, nutritious option for a snack.

While almonds are healthy, you can’t eat a whole can and expect stay on track with your weight loss goals.

How can you enjoy almonds and stay under 100 calories?

Snacking on 14 almonds is only 98 calories! If you want to avoid counting almonds, Blue Diamond has a 100-calorie pack option.

5. Berry, Berry Good!

Fresh or frozen berries are a sweet, healthy snack that is perfect for snacking on the go.

Berries can be enjoyed by just eating them plain, adding them to a smoothie, or mixing them together for a mixed berry salad.

Berries have high nutrients and water content which help keep you fuller and avoid over snacking.

How many berries can you eat?

20 (yes, that’s a two and a zero) medium strawberries are only 80 calories!

One cup of blueberries is 84 calories.

A full cup of blackberries is only 62 calories!

If you’re thinking about the cost of fresh berries, frozen berries are the perfect option!

You can let them thaw out or eat them frozen (trust me, they taste delicious) for a healthy snack that will also keep you cool in the summer months.

6. Be Great with Grapes!

Red or green, grapes are a great choice for snacking at home or on-the-go.

It’s easy to get carried away with grapes, but separating your grapes into portions before you snack will keep you under the 100 calorie mark.

Eating 25 green or red grapes is only 85 calories! For something even more refreshing, try freezing your grapes and enjoy a frozen snack!

7. Oh Baby, Carrots!

Not only are baby carrots cute, but they are packed with healthy nutrients and make great crunchy snack.

Baby carrots are usually seen on veggie trays, but you can add them to your list of low-calorie, healthy snacks.

How many carrots can you eat?

You can eat 24 baby carrots for only 96 calories!

If you don’t want to get carrot crazy, you dip 12 baby carrots (48 calories) into a ½ tablespoon of peanut butter (45 calories) and still be under 100 calories!

8. The Best is In a Pickle!

Dill pickles (fermented cucumbers) are usually found on top of burgers or on the side of a sandwich.

But if you’re looking for something vinegary, pickles are an AMAZING snack for helping you stay on track with your weight loss.

How many pickles can you eat?

AS MANY AS YOU WANT!!

Pickles have ZERO calories per serving!

If you know you over did it at brunch with the girls or at your co-workers birthday celebration, grab a pickle when you want a snack.

In other words, when you’re in a pickle with your calories, grab a pickle!

You don’t have to quit snacking just because you have decided to go on a weight loss journey.

You can get creative and still keep your snack calories low by combining some of the snacks mentioned.

Just simply decrease the portions of the snacks you want to combine (grapes+berries or carrots+peanut butter) and you’ll have a snack that is still under or around 100 calories.

Let’s snack our way to weight loss, the right way!
